Post-brewing coffee temperature?
I know that to make "good" coffee, you are suppose to brew at or around 80 degrees Celsius (not boiling). I enjoy hot coffee, so I usually properly brew at 80 (using an AeroPress), and then re-heat the finished coffee in an electric kettle to boiling temperature.
Does re-heating brewed coffee to ~100 C "ruin" the quality of the brew?
Interesting question, good you've asked.
In order to infuse maximum flavor, 90C is ideal. However, by reheating it at the same temperature doesn't make sense, because you ain't brewing it, you are just heating for your tongue. So anything between 60-75C should do the trick, depending on how long you're going to sip it.
